As said Antonio was a thorn in their side ,I was a bit concerned he didn’t find the net prior to the Bowen goal .
Just out of interest you may want to take a look at the two goals Johnson got for Forest , very tidy and cool . No idea if he could be prem quality ???

Moyes said Everton have the quality to stay up.

Lampard not happy with that as he knows will make him look poor when they finally go down.

Hope Burnley beat them.

Great 3 points, thought we played quite well. Had plenty of chances in the first half and seemed to be breaking through at will. Fornals as usual lacked some quality in and around the box. Antonio was much better, a real handful for Keane.

Fredricks i also thought put in a impressive performance, saved a goal in the first half. Good to see Bowen back, didnt look too rusty.

Onto Thursday now, can not wait

"I felt Holgate should have been booked for simulation and his later booking would have seen him walk"

You can blame the introduction of VAR for that. Since they've brought it in, players never get booked for diving.

VAR is a load of shit.

The Everton supporters were getting unrelenting stick from my section ( right next to them) all game and a number of them were going mental. One big lad was giving it large back but disappeared in the second half. On the way to the station he was in amongst the crowd threatening everybody. God knows what happened to him. Proper funny all game. They cant handle this at all.

FatBoy said they deserved more…HAHA

They deserved less IMO…let them off lightly with only 2 goals…

Theirs was a huge deflection…

They don’t have any goalscorers…

But they have several cheats…especially Richardson…

Well done team and Moyes…!!!

Manuel - I don't think they deliberately held back, just sub consciously had an eye on Thursday.. Or maybe yours right and we just weren't at it.. Fuck knows.. Three points though so who cares :-)

Sorry but didn't the Cresswell goal and their red card come from Antonio being fouled?

I’m mystified how Antonio can get manhandled all game and get zero free kicks, but a fraud like Richarlison gets free kicks whenever he chucks himself to the ground which seems to be whenever the ball is played to him.

Excellent result - we never beat these cunts
So the dirty 16 move on with 2 more vital games, dragging their weary bones while the Daves rub their hands with glee at how clever they are

Got the points without being at out best I thought but fuck me we are wasteful at times in the final third! If only Antonio could be a bit more consistent with his finishing he really would be top draw striker, its as if he just hits the ball as hard as he can without really looking at what’s around him or were the keeper is, I can see he is a right handful for every defender but when he was through on goal I almost squinted as I could see the shot straight at the keeper coming up!!! Thankfully the rebound fell in Bowen’s path and we got the goal.

Big game coming up in the Europa and then Brentford, fingers crossed 2 good wins as we go into the business end of the season.

Yeah, it was always going to be a tough one, considering how we struggle against basement dwellers, how often Everton do us over, and how much class their team has. You saw a bit of that class, but they don't have a good finisher.

Antonio was miles better than anything they had, as was Rice. It's a bit boring to keep praising those two, but they're going to be hard to replace.

Determined, gritty performance from ours, which is what I like watching.

Re: ⚽ West Ham v Everton - Official Match Thread FT 2-1
All things considered a very satisfying and much needed win. I'm not sure about the 'holding back' and 'just doing enough' type of comments, that is a very dangerous game to play and not sure at this level you can afford to play like that, what if one of their set pieces had gone in at the death like what happened with Brentford, to name just one, would have been devastating and the knives would have been out.

Thought Antonio put in a great shift, just lacking the finish, think he will give the Lyon defense a hard time on Thursday. Though Benny did well when on the ball and looked pleased with himself when he come off, but needs to be involved more, just seems to play on the perithaphy too much.

Fatty never misses a chance to have a dig does he? Fat cunt.

It's his conduct since he left that's the reason most hate him. Not that he left or went ro chelsea but he can't not make a comment about us.

Hope they get relegated. Cunt.

“As for the team as a whole we are simply not top six material and I’m not saying that as a criticism but as a statement of fact.”

We finished 6th last season and we’re 6th with only 7 games left this season, so not really a statement of fact. Pretty much the opposite.

Loved Creswell's response to how he's now scored more goals from a free kick, beating Payet into 2nd place.

"Yeah, but I've been here nine years, he was here one".

I've always given FLJ the benefit of the doubt, and was never a hater of his, however, he is turning into a bit of a twat with his comments. He was a great footballer, but he'll never be a manager of note.
